waste of money, gimick etc...
You can make your own, it wont do much at all. Honestly, you get what you pay for, do you really expect anything from raising your injectors up another 1/8 of an inch. I would say you might as well do it, because it well help with fuel atomization, just dont spend money on it, and expect hp to increase.

Injector spacer = a tuning device just like a carb spacer or any other part of the intake dealing with air and/or fuel.
If you look at the spray pattern of your injectors they should "hit" the wall about an 1/8"-1/4" above the throttle blades at idle. It's usually just a good idea to raise them anyways. Best way to do this has got to be adding an extra gasket. It's simple and cheap, just the way I like it.
The spacer also raises the injectors further away from being in the air stream. This little extra bit can actually be a lot if you flowbench the TBI with the injectors on. I can't find any of the details but somebody did it a while back. The problem with the test I think was that it was more of an air from above instead of the air coming from the sides (like an open element 14x3 air cleaner). Basically the TBI sucks with velocity stacks and likes the standard 14x3 for the reason that it doesn't suck air through it's injectors and cause lots of turbulance...kind of like a really crappy MAF!

It makes more sense for the larger diameter 454 TB units because the spray basically smacks the middle of the plates... The 305/350 versions aren't so bad OEM, at least the ones I have seen.
