First time Dyno results 89' TBI 305 Camaro
Had a dyno day with LIFBA on saturday. Car has mild bolt on stuff. Edlebrock performer intake and headers, high flow cat, Flowmaster thunderseries cat back, bigger throttle body, flowmatched injectors, TPI air intake, 160 thermostat, throttlebody and injector spacers, and a 17hp chip. Car has 150,000+ miles on it and there were 4th gen camaros on the dyno running worse than mine. Didn't lock out the converter. I'm just happy I have an idea. Now its time to start building up the 350.

Thats not bad at all for a near stock setup. Are those corrected numbers at teh wheels? If you leaned it out a bit out top and maybe added (or removed) some timing, you could pick up an extra 10 HP or so.

Yea the numbers are at the wheels. Thanks for the feedback. My boyfriend is a technician for chevy we've been trying to get the car right. Its hard to tune it, hes starting to think its the chip thats the problem. The car has a lot of new parts. The timing is pretty advanced, we've been playing around with it, so far the only time I like it is when its advanced. If we lower the timing the car has a lag when you hit the gas, like its bogging down. There has to be a middle ground somewhere its just really hard to find. Let me know if you have any more suggestions. I really don't want to put the 350 in the car. We wanted to get some more power out of this first. I have a rearend ready to go in from a 2002 WS6 that should bring some more power, and my boyfriends talking about switching to a colder plug.
The club we're part of is mostly 4th gen camaros and when I drive with them I keep up with them and sometimes beat them off the line with my car. Its pretty cool.

From my experience, dont know how much hp but you will notice the difference if you optimise the air intake.
I have something wery similar to your tpi air intake on mi trans am, at first I also used the stock aircleaner box with the silencer ring removed.
The opening on the front of the box should be at least 2-3 thimes bigger with a corresponding air duct then yours to be effective (an oval has much less surface then a circle). The other downside of the stock box is the way air goes down to the injectors.
I was wondering if you can use the stock tpi filters with your sistem, that way you could use a carb bonnet. On my experiment it workt awsome.
Because of clearence issues I now use a "ram air box" with 3" filter and 4" duct, but the carb bonnet was just as good.
Not from my experience a lt1 cam should make the 305 keepable.

Interesting, maybe Ill try that. Even with this setup, I felt a big difference, the car runs really cool and gets a lot more air then before. I dont have fog lights so it sucks it right up.

The dyno graph looks a bit funky to me, you can see steps in it like the tranny was shifting during the run. Did they have you bring it up into 3rd gear and then go WOT for the run?
Like Dimented said, your fueling is pretty far off in that it's way lean below 3K and goes too rich on the very top end. The top end isn't suffering as much as the low end is, actually being that lean under load could possibly hurt something. I assume they put the WB in the tail pipe? If they did do you have a catalytic converter? This could have skewed the results as well.
Playing with the timing and fuel pressure really isn't tuning per say. To really get TBI tuned correctly you have to dive into the chip. As you see with your current mail order tune, it's just not cutting it. There is a great DIY tuning community right here on these boards. I think you have the potential to make a good bit of power with proper chip tuning.
I don't mean to sound pesemistic but your making numbers that a lot of stock LO3's make. You basically have every external bolt on you can get, so I think you should be making somwhere around 180-200 at the rear wheels.
