I ahve read alot oabout the down sides of not using a VSS ( vehicle speed Senser) and have sopme questions. I am swaping out my motor and am not planning on running that senser on my new motor. I am heard about the car not shifting right and codes being thrown out. is there any way to get around this or tune it out of the computer? i do plan on running a modified 700r4 I know about the toggle switch idea but i don't want to use the senser at all.

 

What is going to change that you can't use the VSS?? Your 91 should have an electronic speedo that also needs the electronic speed sensor that is in the tailshaft. If you are swapping to an older 700 your sensor will swap right over.
