what would make only 1 injector fire? is it just that its bad or is there something else i should be looking at?

Swap your injector plugs over first and make sure the same injector still isn't firing. If they change and the other one quits you have a short in the wires, otherwise you've got a bad injector or a clog either way time to replace or rebuild that injector.

i don't know i just decided to put new tbi on it ,and put a new pump in it.when i took tbi off there should of been a lot of gas- bone dry.

The most likely culprit would be a bad switched ground path or lack of constant +12 volts. The other possible cause would be a dead driver in the ECM. If the injector tests out ok, then youd need to use a DVM to measure teh continuity of the circuit that feeds teh dead injector.

I wouldn't go out and buy a junked tbi when yours may have a fairly simple problem that may very well not be related to the tbi itself...it's just...extra work.

and you don't know what you're buying, wheras you know how old/clean/dirty/whatever your original is.

besides, you really could just replace the injector pod as opposed to the whole tbi, but I really wouldn't do that either.

take the 10 minutes to check the other things first, then go from there.

well, it was the pump if not ,definetly the strainer it looked like it'd been at the bottom of a pond for a long time. since it was aprt i just replaced both and the filter .man ,can you see the difference at the injectors. well thanks E-1.
