Installed Heated O2 Gone bad!!!...Need some advice!!
Well i heard all the word about the heated o2 being a good idea due to the fact that i do a lot of highway driving and thought that because of the high speed winds that my headers werent getting hot enough to heat the o2 so i went about doing the mod. After installing everything seemed to be great. Truck was running good but from all the dirt and grime i didnt want to get the truck dirty so i went about my business( didnt take it for a test run) changing a flat on my moms car and 2 hours later when i went to take it for a test drive to my girls place and it seems to be running real strange. Hard to explain but doesnt seem to want to rev. Like something is holding it back. And it also makes a strange humming noise. Well come to find out that the ground wire was melted on the the header. I thought this was the problem after thinking about it but after having put it all back with tie wraps this time....it still runs the same. I dont seem it possible to have ruined the o2 because of the headers being a ground as well. I was thinking that maybe the better tuning is causing the truck to want the 93 octane that its been asking for(ive been putting in 89 with these prices). It seems to me like something is holding it back but i cant seem to figure out what it is. Please help!!!!
ps my truck is 91', RCSB, 1500, 355TBI, mild cam .449/.456 212/218/112, pullies, all tbi mods, spacer, edelbrock performer intake, k&N air cleaner and full 40 series flow master exhaust.) THANKS
To add..it seems to act weird as soon as the truck warms up and possibly goes into closed loop.
I know i have a truck but i knew that this would be the board with the most knowledge of these motors to help me out. Thanks again .

Did you try to put back your stock one and see if it was the same (assuming you used a connector so you could keep your stock one)? I did this on my old Monte SS and it worked great. Its probably pretty much the same:
