Open Loop - Unique questions
What is the computer "disabling" during open loop?
A/F pinging lean/rich?
EGR?
TCC?
SA table?
SA adjusters?
KNOCK RETARD!?!
REV limiter?
PE?
DE?
etc....?
And here is another question:
Do the VE tables control fueling in Open Loop?

Re: Open Loop - Unique questions
Typically in open loop for the older ECMs, the O2 corrections are usually ignored for the first few minutes while the sensor reaches operating temperature. During this time, the computer just uses the calibration to calculate the fueling (MAP, VE tables, etc.).
SA is always used except when cranking. All the other items have their own qualifiers for when they will be in effect, and these are mostly independent of whether your in OL or CL. The only exception would likely be the EGR.
