superchips
superchips
i found a superchips in a ecm from an 88 tbi 5-spd camaro. would it do the job till i custom tune my own? i have the full edelbrock intake and full hedman exhaust and an lt1 cam. i got the ecm for $10 bucks.
so pretty much was wondering if was even worth putting in the superchips so stick with my stock one with my timing advanced??

Re: superchips
Probably a waste of time since you have swapped to the LT1 cam which would require a custom tune.
I have a superchips in my otherwise stock L03 I got for $50 like 8 years back. It works better than stock, but thats about it.

Re: superchips
The aftermarket chips really only modifiy WOT parameters, more fuel more spark. When in fact you need to remove fuel most of the time.
All the problems you are going to have will be at part throttle. The factory tune is almost rich enough to support the LT1 cam. I would throw it in, but it's not the bandaid you were hoping for.
