I came accross a good deal on a 1991 camaro RS with a 305TBI and 700R4 transmission. The motor has been rebuilt at some point the car has 160,000 miles on it. Today I put a new air filter/change the oil & filter/cleaned out the throttle body and put a new fuel filter and spark plugs just as a cheap start.
but in turns and stopping she sometimes wants to die on me a little bit which it could be I have not had over a qtr tank in it yet
Also I was wanting to know any good horse power adds I can do to a 305 TBI without an engine swap or converting to 4 barrel. I know I want to to a good exhaust system and headers, was looking at shift kits and shifters.
I just basically want to build a budget street not trying to get 10's in a qtr lol.

Im kinda a newb with working on cars, so dont take my advice as God's word.
But, try filling up the tank to full. I read on another post that there are fins in the tank that can break off. They keep the gas from shifting away from the fuel pickup at lower levels during turns and accel/decel. You might need a new gas tank.

I'm kind of a newbie too, but there's a lot of simple things to start with. An open air element would be a nice start, and will only cost you like $30 for an edlebrock one that's 14", unless you get a K & N filter as well, which would be like another $40-$50 on top of that. Replaces your stock air cleaner and takes like 10 minutes to install. Also, there are all sorts of custom intakes and scoops you can build, that will only cost you like $30-$40 to make. There is all sorts of information in the top section of this TBI forum, under the "useful" labels. Make sure you do all of your research ahead of time, to save money and time, because a lot of these guys on here have very valuable information.
