Code 15

So every so often while I'm driving my SES light would light up for 10 maybe 15 seconds and go away. Today i decided to try and pull the codes and what i got was 15.

My question is would the coolant temp sensor have any effect on gas mileage?

Re: Code 15

Yes, very much so.

Also check the connector to the CTS. They tend to corrode which causes false readings from the sensor.

Re: Code 15

This may sound like a dumb question but where is the sensor located?

Re: Code 15

Top front of the intake manifold. To the passenger side (US) of the thermostat housing. Has a 2-wire weatherpack connector. Probably yellow & black wires.

Thank you so much. I looked again right after I answered the question and I found it
