Fuel pump failure?

Car ran fine this morn to office. This afternoon wont go over 50 mph and reads 16/1 on WB cruise at 45 mph. EBL shows a code for FP relay? I suspect that means "fuel pump failure" as the car does run OK up to 45 mph and relay just turns on pump right? TPI pump only about 5 years old. I will check FP gauge at TBI unit tonight revving engine in driveway and see if it maintains 19 lbs under light load. comments?

Re: Fuel pump failure?

Fuel pump relay failure indicates low/intermittent voltage at the pump or relay itself. Definately sounds like its causing a fuel delivery problem.
