What shold the RBI cars idle at? Mine usually idles at about 1200 until it warms up, then drops about 1000 in park and 800-900 in gear.

Does this sound about right?

Once warmed up it does sound a bit high. IIRC stock is around 600.

Of course this all assumes my tach is accurate, although it does sound like 1000 rpms to me.

When I get my EBL flash I will compare the WUD rpms to the tach.

Theres definitely no way I'm idling at 600 though. The sound is no where near in that range.

Re: factory idle?

factry stock is 600 rpm. and your tach may say 1000 rpm but then again you may have a tach like so many other 91 92 fbodies where the tach is off *sigh*
