Exhaust tuning
Exhaust tuning
Hey guys i just recieved a Dynomax 2.25 duals kit for my camaro and some flow tech headers. I have everything to install them an expect gians over my stock system.
How much will I feel the dual exhaust and headers. Also what will I have to do to my 305 TBI to get the most out of this exhaust system> I have an open element an 6 degree timing. I have a B&M shift kit installed right now too.
I am not using any mufflers just straight 2.25 all the way over the rear axle

Can I ask you a question? I'm looking at installing a B&M Kickdown Kit and was wondering if you used one and if so what you think of it?

Re: Exhaust tuning
This is how I see it. Intake/Exhaust mods DO need tuning to get the most out of them. Even the factory engine has plenty of power hidden in the stock tune to make it worthwhile.

Re: Exhaust tuning
Makes sense, especially with what you told me. I thought he was asking "Will my car run after I do this without a tune?" which his car would run just fine, but like you said not at its peak for what it has.

Re: Exhaust tuning
No because the money is better spent to buy your own tuning equipment. I would also take the opportunity to switch your ECM out to use the faster more powerful 93-95 TBI truck PCM.
