i have a 89 rs 5.0 305 and theres really no governer right. just a fuel shut off switch or a rev limiter. i want to know how that take that offer or disengage it. the cars registered top speed is 145mph but mine onlly allows 90mph after it hits like 95 then drops so im guessing its a rev limiter. please help me unleash my my cars true potential.

 

I know on my 89 305 the speed limiter was like 105mph...whan the speedo pegged that was the limit. If yours is not getting above 90-95 Id say you have a different issue.

i found out what made it bog down like that. the last thing i thought of the tranny filter needed to be changed but now the governer kicks in at 120 but i think im gonna tear out the comp on the motor and run the nesscarys either that or a ls1 conversion

 

Believe in the tech articles it tells you how to rig up a switch to turn that gov off and allow you to bypass the speed limiter.
