i have a 305 tbi but im getting a 350 with a carb but i want to transfer my tbi intake and throttle body on the 350 what has to be dont for it to work right?

the motor used to be a tpi but it got swapped to a carb now i want it back to tbi.

I just completed a 305 TBI to 350 TBI swap.

As long as your 350 is an 87-95 block your intake will work with no issues.

What you need are:
* 350 ESC module - GM 16128261
* 350 knock sensor - GM 10456288
* 350 injectors - Best if you can get the injectors & ECM from 89-90 Caprice Cop car but standard 350 injectors & ECM will work.
* 350 ECM - Get a custom chip programmed for your ECM or use a chip/ECM from a 89-90 350 TBI Caprice.

My 90 Camaro had the same 8746 ECM as the 89-90 Caprice so I only needed to change the chip. What ECM dose your 91 have?

350 knock sensor - it screws into right side of the block near the starter.


Here's some info I found on another website. The ESC is found on the firewall somewhere. The ESC & knock sensor should be $5 or less items at your local junk yard but spendy to buy new.


Here is what the ESC looks like. It interprets the knock sensor signal so this needs to be changed.
