Engine bogs??

I'm in the process of learning to tune this deathtrap truck of mine, and when I 'stick it to the wood' (WOT or close to), the engine goes silent for a moment then begins to wind up..

What would cause this delay/hesitation?

See sig for engine specs.

Thoughts, suggestions, comments?

Thanks

Yeah your probably lean or rich because mine does the same thing and I know its lean
your plugs will probably confirm it if its rich

Re: Engine bogs??

I changed the plugs about a month ago, the ones removed looked as if the engine is running rich.

My VE tables are pretty rough yet, most of my BLM's are somewhere below 128.

Is it typical for an engine such as mine with a few modifications to run rich on a relatively stock tune??? For some reason I have been thinking that the exact opposite would be the case, that I would need MORE fuel at any given RPM/MAP

I've been doing some work to the VE tables, some of the stumble I was describing has cleaned up, but there is still a hesitation.

I had to replace the fuel pump in the very recent past, just used a brand-new stocker. Do you guys think the stock fuel pump is adequate at this point?
