Re: TPS and IAC adjustment???!!!???

The ECM auto-zero's the TPS value. As long as it is between .4 and .9 volts at idle it'll work. Can check the voltage with a scan tool or back probing with a DVM. Engine can be off to do it.

For the IAC, it will auto-reset after the engine has been running and the key is switched off. Just fire up the engine, blip the throttle for the heck of it, when it returns to idle turn off the key. Wait 5 seconds or more and the IAC is reset.

RBob.

Be aware some TBI units have a specific base gasket. It must seal the IAC valley or massive vac leak. When unit on manifold or adapter there but be gasket visable at perimeter of TBI. Mine I think is about .125 inch overhang.

Re: TPS and IAC adjustment???!!!???

see on my 91 there is a "feild service" adjustment for the iac. I forget the exacts on how it works but it closes the iac to adjust base air flow
