Instead of searching for something I dont know the name of and opening a new thread I was hoping someone can tell me what the little wire/connector is that connects to the stock air cleaner base? I have an open element but dont remember where this little wire goes and what its used for as I havent seen anyway say anything about replacing it or hooking it back up after switching from a stock air intake to the new K&N 14x3 OE.

What is it?

 

IAT = Intake Air Temp sensor.
