I have been doing alot of reading about other peoples tbi engine setups and it appears to me that alot of people like that comp 268h (12-210-2) 218/218@.050" dur, .454"/.454" lift with 1.5:1 rockers, and 110lsa. I've done some research and found a speedpro camshaft that is amost the exact equivalent to that cam with the exception of a slightly larger lift. Its a speedpro cl1169r 218/218@.050", .458"/.458" lift with 1.5:1 rockers and a 110lsa. Has anyone ever used this camshaft before? Does anyone have any idea about how well it would work with a set of fully ported 601's with 1.94"/1.50" valves, dished pistons, porter edelbrock performer rpm intake, 350 tbi with the ultimate tbi mods, tpi fuel pump set @18psi, custom tuned ecm and 1.5/1.6:1 aluminum roller rockers. I was previously thinking about the old 350hp/327 l79 cam that was givin to me but have decided against it after reading about the differences in hp vs the 268h.

Re: TBI camashaft selection.
You might find this post interesting. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-cams-tbi.html

I am not that familiar with the 268h, it is an older cam. I know comp has an updated version called the xe268h (xe=xtreme energy). It is a dual pattern cam with steeper ramps. The 268h may still be a good cam (don't know) but it is a single pattern cam and has "lazier" ramps.

And what I have installed (but not run yet) is the lunati voodoo 268 (#60103) which is like the xe268h but even steeper ramps and higher lift.

All 3 cams are flat tappet (non-roller cams). If you have a roller setup now, you'd probably want to use another roller cam instead of one of these 3.

The xe268h and the 60103 voodoo 268 have 110 lobe separation angles which are supposed to make tuning a challenge. I don't know the LSA on the 268h. The guys on here recommended I use 114 LSA but I am too pig headed and wanted a rough idle. I haven't fired it yet so I don't know how tough to tune it really will be.
