IAC adjustment
I have that dang idle surge at a stoplight. I found Vaders thread on how to do this but I can't locate the torx screw adjustment that is on the left side of the throttle body. If anyone could just send me a picture of the trottle body with that screw pointed out, it would be greatly appreciated and would help me greatly. Thanks.

Re: IAC adjustment
It is under a small metal cap. The cap can be removed by using something like an ice-pick to piece it, give it a twist and pull it out.
To find the cap, look at the left side of the TB and look for the end of screw protruding toward the rear. It will be from the very front, and the protruding end holds the throttle open. I need to look for a picture, something about a thousand words...
I just found a pic, give me a minute to circle the location and post it. Be back in a minute.
OK, picture attached. See lower center, circled in red. That is the head of the throttle blade stop screw. I prefer to remove it and cut a slot across the head so that a standard screwdriver can be used.

Re: IAC adjustment
Ok, so basically, the screw was on the right side of the throttle body. Anywho, I took a punch and knocked out that plug and found the screw. I jumped the terminal, let the vavle fully seat in the throttle body and then pulled the power to that as well as the ESC for the timing and the jumper. I had my little sister get in the car and it took a while to get her idleing; she kept wanting to die. We had to keep giving her some gas until she idled down. Once we got that, we put it in drive and I had her tell me when it was idleing at 450, I had to screw the screw in a bit. Turned the car off, hooked the wires back on and turned her over, she again started rough but finally cleared up. Now when I start her she fires right up. I took it out about 5 miles to warm her up, pulled over in a lot and sat there until she heated to 220 and the therostat opened. Nothing happend. I think this might of fixed my problem as well as a dirty passage way. I will find out soon for sure once I take her out on a buisiness road and sit from stoplight to stoplight.
All in all, I think she may be fixed and I appreciate the picture. I would have never located that screw without that.

Re: IAC adjustment
Actually, it is a brand new IAC vavle. At first I took the old one off to make sure the plunger was good and that vavle was cracked, you could unscrew it by hand to take out from the throttle body, so I thought maybe the air was getting in from there causing it to run lean at idle. I put in the new one and it was better but still ran like crap at a stoplight.
I tried Vader's thing and as of now, the car is idleing great, even all the way up until the therostat kicks in.
Thanks for the input though.
