HELLO,, Ive broke my tps bolts on my crossfire.--Anyone know the size of the bolts so i can drill and tap the holes ???? are they standard thread ?? pitch ??

I haven't been reading the posts in the TBI board for quite some time. I found your question last night.

The mounting screws for the TPS are Metric M5.8. Overall length is approximately 33.34mm (1-5/16 inches). It's major diameter is 5mm or 0.19685 inches. So I think the tap hole for the new screw will need to have a diameter greater than 0.19685. The pitch should be .8 if I am reading the charts correctly. A Torx T25 bit fits just fine for loosing and tighting the screws.

The holes that the screws thread into are open on the back side, so you may have a little wiggle room if new screws slightly exceed the lenght noted above.

The attached photos show the sensor, the screw and the retaining washer. Note that the retaining washer is half moon shaped and snugs up against the curved section of the mounting hole. Note taht the diameter of the retaning washer is not much bigger than the screw, will very litte room to drill a larger hole for a larger screw.

I took a quick look at an Advance Auto Store and did not see this size screw in their display of fastners. You may need to ask the clerks to look it up to see if they stock it. You also want to take a look at Home Depot or any hardware store that has a good selection of screws.
