heated o2 + shorties -> relocate o2?
hi guys,
i'm about to install my 2055's and i got a heated delco o2 (AFS74) waiting to go in as well, so recently i was wondering if i should use the stock o2 bung in the driver side header or relocate to the y-pipe?
the thing is, i got ceramic coating on my y-pipe + headers and not really too fond of welding a new bung on there.. i'd also need advice about where to put my WBO2
any help and comments are greatly appreciated,
thanks!

Both are heated so it doesn't matter, but..
The WB can get cooked. So..
I would put the WB in the Y-pipe.

so you're saying the heated o2 can't be cooked and the stock location is good enough?
i guess there will be enough heat even with the header - so, with the heated o2 i'm just gonna see a slightly earlier closed loop operation right?
oh and about how far away from the collectors should the WB be mounted?

I would put the WB far from the engine. Under the car right before the cat is good. If no cat then in the test pipe is also a good location (and easy to have a bung welded in with it removed from the car).
Be sure that the WB is mounted so that the sensing tip is on a downward slant.
RBob.
