hi guys, this is my frist third gen let alone tbi so bear with me..

89 firebird 305 tbi.
bought the car and the igniton was replaced. the orliginal lock with the vats key was taped up under the dash. when i would turn the key on all was well but i would never hear a fuel pump prime and the car would not crank. so i replaced the fuel pump fuse and also found these 2 wires that will turn the starter over. (like hotwireing) and so when i hit them the starter turns and i hear the fuel pump energize. never starts though. also every here and there it will crank with the ign key but rarley. secc light always goes out.

so i pull the tb off thinking no gas is geting to it maybe? but there was gas in there so i dont think the injectors are pusling and the fuses also check out fine..


anyone know what i should check?

 

well i got my resistors in today and the secc light went out. it cranked with the key then stoped. so i went checking the computer and i smelled hot electrical so im gona pick up a new computer tomarow and see what happens
