Which K&N Filter are you guys using in your Open Elements...
So I've finallly installed an Open Element air cleaner on my '92 RS, I went for Edelbrock #1207. So now I want to change the paper filter for a nice K&N one, when I do a search for filters that are 14" x 3" it comes back with two filters.
E-3737
and
E-3027R
The first one looks redish and is described as a replacement air filter. However the second one looks black and is described as a Racing air filter with "2 layers of cotton"
Strange thing is I can find the Racing one at a cheaper price to the replacement one! So which one is going to be best? My car doesn't have any other mods yet other than the open element but I do plan on some mild performance mods in the near future.

I run the cheapo paper filter. I've never been a fan of the K&N's. I'd rather spend the extra money that they cost on something else that will actually make a difference.
That's just my $.02.

Summit has reusable K&N style filters that arent too pricy under "Summit" brand. I like mine a lot. I just prefer the look to paper filters.

quickkris2006 have you had any problems with your EDL 1002 air cleaner? because I have also heard that the foam has gotten lodged into the engine/carb but i've touched the foam in person and it seems to be very tough. I'm thinking of buying one soon so any pro's and con's of it would be really appreciated.
