tbi on a 389 stroker?
ive got a stock 305 tbi and was wondering if it was worth it to try and make the tbi system work on the 389 stroker ill be dropping in soon. i figured with a throttle body from a 454 and some computer tuning it could handle the 389, but im no expert so Id like some opinions. the only mods ive made so far are autometer gauges and a t-56 swap.

I'll let ya know when I get some feedback on my project as well, but off the top 80-90# injectors 2 or 2.25 TBI, programming strategy (I support EBL).
Cam? If don't know, what are hp/fuel economy goals. I got a LT-4 hotcam if you have a roller block!
I've been checking out this manifold

I like it cause it makes power from 1500 - 6500, which is my target powerband for my t-56 car. So if you want about 400-475 horse, cam would be .500 to .550ish and would be streetable if you have heads that can support it.
What heads? Compression ratio?

I think a 2" TBI would be the simplest EFI to use and will support 400hp. Ya what heads? Cam? What do you expect from the car? I think the Edlebrock 2901/2912 w/Holly 4bbl adapter matched to the TBI is the setup with the most potential. For a ECM the EBL flash would be a straightforward choice.

ive got pretty much the same manifold, just made by holly, i dunno the cam specs off the top of my head but its a pretty decent comp cams hydraulic flat tappet. its got iron 64cc vortec heads with 1.06/2.02 valves an springs recommended by comp for the cam. with the set up ive got im lookin around 450 hp.

You can find TBI units w/54mm bores that claim 850cfm..more than enough. I think 450hp is like a brick wall for a 2" TBI, well modded maybe 720-740cfm.
