thoughts on engine recipe

im rebuilding my the engine in my 1989 K2500. its a 350TBI and i have a few questions about what parts to use. im going to use the stock bottom end and freshen up as necessary. the build is going to be mild and on a budget of approx $1500. im not expecting 300HP but close would be nice. i want the power low down, and a fat TQ curve is nice.

heads: ported 193 TBI truck heads

cam: 212 to 218°@.050 and about .460 lift hyd flat tappet

intake: Weiand Team-G, (already have it) and will build a heated TBI to 4BBL adapter.

throttle body will get ultimate mods, stock injectors, walboro 190LPH, 18psi regulator, possibly 50mm bored

RBob's EBL

also is getting headers, Y-pipe, cat back, CAI, cat delete. i recently tuned it up with new O2, AC-Delco plugs, MAP, and all that jazz.

what do you think of the cam? remember im on a tight budget. i can perform anything myself, just not a surplus of $$$ at this time. im not expecting a ton of power, just more than stock.

some of the earlier TBI trucks got a Hyd roller IIRC, if yours is I would go roller. also, I would sell the Team G and get a dual plane if you want low end torque.
