for the love of..........nvm. need a couple pointers
finally killed my 305, sitting at a red light.....go figure. lives through a 4 gear burn out to come apart at a red light. towing it into work tomo to pull the motor out and re build it most likely. if it's saveable. goin on friday to pick up the lt1 cam, 1.6 rockers. heavier flexplate, 350 injectors, and any upgrades I come accross at the junk yard.
but the main pointer I need is where do or should I go for a chip....i see alot dont like tbichips.com and pcmforless wont touch me. already running lean and iffy at idle with holley intake, fullignition minus box, tbi mods, headers with dual side pipes, a/c and smog delete, open k/n element, 2.4k stall full stage 3 manual shift kit, tpi fuel pump, true double roller timing chain, hi vol oil pump.....
oh and getting the heads ported and poilished while they're out

Sooo what exactly "came apart"????
Sounds like a good time to upgrade to a new block...

If those are the LO3 heads, you're wasting your time - porting/polishing it easier to run the chain through those boat anchors.
Maybe look into the Dynamic EFI stuff - supposed to be a newer easier way to do your own chip programming with flash proms and laptop programming on the fly while you drive. But If I had any programming know-how, maybe I wouldn't have gone carbed.
Nah - take that back, I'd still be carb - I like turning wrenches way better than screwing with programming!
