305 to 350TBI

so i decided to keep the TBI from my 305 to make life easier. i know that it should be a straight swap of intake manifolds and i have to change the PROM to fit my engine and injectors and prbly get a new fuel pump. what i'm wondering is what HP/torque specs would my car have if it would have two new 22ib injectors with updated PROM in a TBI L98? not exact but a good estimate? (i don't know much about engines but the L98 i'm swapping in is from a 92 camaro).

Do you have any mods on the car? Headers, exhuast, etc? You will not need a fuel pump for the swap, just a chip and two 350 injectors. Rockauto.com has them pretty cheap. For the chip talk to Ryan harris over at TBICHIPS.com. Assuming no mods whatsoever and a stock 350 tbi chip...... probably between 280 and 320 horsepower. That's my best guess.

So a chip and two 350 injectors makes my slow 305tbi a 350 tbi?

You will probably make better peak hp then the L98 camaro/firebird did, using LO5 injectors with a decent tune.

Are you planing a cam swap wile the engine is out? https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-ultimate.html

The 350 TBI injectors are 61, 65 and 68 lb/hr.

These 2 treads are wery helpfull, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-350-swap.html

Re: 305 to 350TBI

You do NOT need a different fuel pump. The 4.3L V6, 305 TBI, and 350 TBI cars and trucks all used the same part number fuel pump.

You will need to tell whoever burns you chip exactly which ecm you have, the part number and size of fuel injectors, and what year/make/model engine you have so they can figure out which camshaft profile you have and thus which program to put in the chip.
