1986 Camaro
I was just wondering about this whole chip thing and how it limits the car. The car i'll be picking up in a few weeks has a 305 and its carbed. Does this mean it still has a chip that limits the speed and power of it? Is there anyway i could run the car without the chip or replace it with one that allows it run faster?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You'll need some kind of chip to use the stock distributor and carb. Otherwise, the timing won't get advanced/retarded when it needs to.
