LT4 hot cam 305 build

So my motor blew about a year ago and now that ive got some extra money laying around, its time to get the firebird up and running again, but I have a couple questions.

First, a brief overview of what i plan to do:
-block and bottom end are currently at machine shop (will be reusing stock parts)
-LT4 hot cam with 1.6 rr's
-113 corvette heads
-holley tbi intake
-ultimate tbi mods
-long tube headers and 3in catback
-225lph fuel pump and VAFPR
-tune

Question 1: I know that this thing is going to require a lot more fuel, but will my stock injectors be able to handle the load? if not, what would i need? are the injectors from the 350 TBI and 454 TBI trucks the same?

Question 2: I intend to delete the EGR altogether but I noticed that the 113 heads dont have the egr crossover like my stock heads, and the holley intake has the passages for them. What can i do about this? I know ill need an egr block off plate but what else will i need to remedy this?

I would also like to hear from anyone who has gone the LT4 hot cam route in their 305 and what you're results were afterwards (dyno numbers, drivability, gas mileage, etc.). any info you can share as to what i can expect would be great.

Sounds like a higer rpm race engine, Im not sure stock internals will play the game.
5000rpm limit may be better, check out comp cam camquest6 download for some more options.

1. I belive they are the same phisically, but the hp potential of the engine will probably be over the stock TB flow capacity.
2. Enable EGR in the computer calibration.

Brisk has a 305 with a similar combination, do a search and check his out. There's a couple of videos on Youtube I think.

i have the camquest software as well as desktop dyno and although there were a couple that would yield results near what i could get with the hot cam, none of them were better dollar for dollar. in other words, i get more for less with the hot cam.

1. this is what i was thinking. anybody know the flow rates for the 350 and 454 injectors?

2. i think you mean disable EGR since i will be removing it altogether. that still doesnt answer my question about the port where the intake matches up with the heads (which have no port).

Re: LT4 hot cam 305 build

Im not sure your hp/$ calcs are correct, considering the peak RPM hp. My ipression is that your LT4 hot cam setup may have a little too peacky hp courve, to match your stock 305. http://www.grandsportregistry.com/lt1vslt4.htm

1. http://www.turbocity.com/default.php?cPath=16_30
2. block off plate and disable EGR in the bin, thats it.
