Quick question about LT1 cam swap and timing kit
Hi,
Going to exchange the stock cam for LT1 one (just found one with very good price). Other mods done are headers, exhaust, open air filter. Stock L03 heads. All the rest bone stock. Planning to change the intake in near future too.
What about cam timing (stock, advanced, retarded)? And could anybody recommend Comp Cam (the place I would buy valve springs from just has these) timing kit part # that suits - most of them say "not for stock roller cam".

In post #1 you can find the complete parts list. Thoug you dont need valve covers and oil pan gaskets. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-ultimate.html
This is going to save fuel, using higher fuel pressure with the stock injectors http://www.turbocity.com/product_inf...roducts_id=602
The TPI or Walbro 190 will allow to increase Fuel Pressure http://tpiparts.net/82_92_firebird_fuel_pump?b=1
This is goin to make it easy to dial in and tune your mods http://dynamicefi.com/
I have the base timing at 0.

Re: Quick question about LT1 cam swap and timing kit
OK I understood all of that.
I made the stock regulator adjustable. And the fuel pressure is fine at the moment. When needed, I would change the pump.
What about timing kit #? I need to order it today and the seller could not help me choosing, as I am going to modify the engine.
