spacer clearing?????

I just got a TBI spacer and was going to put it on but I dont think it will fit under the hood of my 92RS. I have a open filter know but will it clear and has anyone done this mod and make it all under the hood or do I have to drop $500 for a cowl to mak my $50 part work???

Thanks Doug

Re: spacer clearing?????

all i have heard is that the spacer is no extra power or help at all. read up on it to make sure. it might just be a waste of time.

Re: spacer clearing?????

Take and build up a tall ball of "Play-Dough" and place it on top of your air cleaner lid, maybe some on the edge of the air cleaner lid also becouse of hood slope, with out the spacer. Close the hood . When you open the hood measure the thickness of the dough after it has been compressed by the hood . That will give you a measurement as to how much hood clearance you are dealing with.
