Never starts first try, Fuel pump?
Hey guys, I'm looking for any excuse to throw my Tuned port manifold on my TBI car, if my fuel pump went bad, it would just push me to do it.. Anyway, my issue is, As long as I've had my car, it's never started on the first try (our 88 IROC always does) I can sit there and crank it over for about 7 seconds, and then maybe it starts, but very rarely.. I do let the fuel pump prime before I crank it over, and you can hear it come on..
Could my fuel pump be getting weak? My car has 171000 km, 1991 Firebird 305 TBI, auto. I have tried retarding the timing, new plugs, wires, rebuilding the distributor, cap, rotor, just about everything ignition, it has an MSD blaster coil, aswell..
Any ideas would be helpful, appreciate it, KP.

A fuel pressure gauge would show whether the pump is OK or not. It may also be that the filter is clogged or the FPR spring broke.
