Lost power after doing intake manifold gasket

1994 Chev 2500 305 tbi 5 speed 4x4

no engine codes come up

About a week after switching distributors, my oil leak had gotten pretty bad. I had removed est to find a general base timing (no timing light in my work parking lot) and plugged it back in after. truck ran pretty normal but had quite a bit of pinging. Drove for the rest of the week like this, as I decided to do the intake at the end of the week.

Did the gasket and everything went well. Timing was set to 0* as per emissions sticker under hood. All vacuum lines are hooked up, and truck idles fine!
However, a couple things have changed.
- The gas pedal is a lot less hard to push down.
- Clutch pedal has more freeplay before engaging.
- Acceleration is quite a bit worse. Previously when cold, it would start and go without bog, now it bogs quite a bit in the first 3 gears (after that im not stepping on gas so much (80kph)). When its warm, it doesn't bog as bad, but is still quite noticably more gutless than before I did the manifold OR before I did the disty.

When I did the gasket, I removed the throttle body for 'degreasing' , but with scarcity of parts, I didnt remove the sensors. I cleaned with brakekleen. Could this have damaged the TPS maybe? I dont get ANY engine codes. is 0* not enough? the motor does have about 210,xxx kms now, so some advance might pick it up that much. im not sure what it was timed at before.

Another thing I could think of was the throttle cable and where its connected to the TB. I cant remember which one it was connected to, and the guy before me did the intake also, so maybe he hooked it up to the wrong one? possibly gas pedal/ lack of power?

The clutch cable was most likely just because i took the slave cylinder out to take the inspection plate off the bellhousing... just weird that its not the same when I put it back in.

I havent double checked all the vac lines yet, but since i dont have an idle issue, i figure they are all hooked up.

The CTS is also new from a few months back.
