Another throttle body issue, Sorry

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, and I have read through as many threads as I can to find someone with a similar problem, but with no avail. I have a 1990 Formula Firebird with a 305 TBI I purchased about a month ago, and I'm new to the TBI engine.

I'm randomly getting fuel pooling on top of the injectors where the connectors plug in. It's dripping down and flooding the motor. I've attached an image to show specifically what is happening, but it's not my motor, it's just one I snatched quickly to show what's happening. I was hoping that a rebuild with the gasket kit would fix it, but I figured I'd ask you guys before I do it.

I really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Sounds like worn out Orings on the injectors. Check out tbiparts.com, a site that's run by a member of TGO . He's got a good selection of rebuild kits depending on how far you want to go, and can answer questions you may have. Have fun!

Re: Another throttle body issue, Sorry

Thanks, but de monay is too short right now for me to send it off to get bored. I plan on doing a 350 swap later on down the road, but I'm just trying to make sure it'll make it until then.

I think the ORings are included in the rebuild kit, so that will happen tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.
