Question about A TBI PLease help before i try it

Hey, i have a 1992 firebird, with a 305tbi i have had some problems with it like stalling out like its not getting gas i was going to take it all appart and clean everything because i have just changed the fuel pressure regulator, and nothing changed its still pluttering every now and then when i put it in drive or in reverse after i start it. my friend was telling me i could put some injectors or even the whole throttle body off of a 454 big block, or possibly a 350 and that would be bigger then the injectors i have now is this correct?? also he said the base maps in a 350 firebird or camaro ecu might help me gain some power and performance is this true i am thinking about going to the junk yard and pulling a ecu from a 350 firebird or camaro and possibly 454 or a 350 injectors or tbi system. please i would like some imput before i do this . thanks

It should be able to make the car run, more air+more fuel should = more power, but I would find out what is wrong with what you got first my first thoughts are fuel filter or pump, EGR flowing at idle, tcc not completely letting go. if you want to get the most out of a larger t-body and injectors, you will need camshaft, displacement, and ecm upgrades as well.

Yu can use the ecm from a truc or a 350 but that will not change anything u will still need to use the prom (chip)from ur car and thats where the tables are stored, if u use a chip from the 350 or the 454 ur car will drive like shhh bc the chip is not set up for it

changine to 350 or 454 injectors without tuning won't help a damn thing, neither will the 454 TB, and the 350 TB is the same casting as the 305 tb. you'll need to get prom tuning equipment or something like the EBL. are you getting a CEL at all?

Up to 270fwhp, there is nothing to be gained from a larger TB, but tuning will be necessary for it to run correctly.

Changing injectors requires to set up some numbers in the tune and coustom tunig, EBL is the best way to do the tuning.

Make sure there is 11.5-12.5 psi fuel pressure before changing anithing, it could simply be a defective fuel pump.
Fuel pressure gauge and TBI specific T adapter are required to do the test.
