I currently have a somewhat taller weiand spreadbore aluminum intake on my 454. I got a 454 tbi with the factory adapter that is like an inch taller or better. Would I be better off to get a thin aftermarket aluminum plate adapter and loose some of the height I am getting now? I am estimating I am setting that tbi about 3-4" higher than stock when looking at how the factory throttle cable bracket sits vs my current setup.
