Wat i got in mind:

headers (either hooker or flowtech) also y pipes
after market air intake manifold
and thinking about a performance chip

Sounds like you're keeping TBI, so I'll move this to the TBI forum.

Re: accelration upgrades for a 305 firebird vin e
Well you will want to make sure you get a roller cam for that motor if its the factory block. I had a problem with my 92 LO3 when i first bought it. Turns out the po had the motor rebuilt with a non-roller cam under roller lifters.
Which isn't good. Do the basics first with a tune up and everything first to get the most out of the base power.

Headers and exhaust w/ hi flow catalytic converter will yield best seat of pants gains.
Then address the air cleaner. The stock setup is crappy. So whether you had an open air element. or cold air kit. do it!
After that bump up the timing to around 6*
dont spend any $$$ on a manifold yet
and to really get a lot. change the rear end gears to at least a 3.23. Stock is a 2.76 gear I believe and that is more for highway crusing then performance. The car will feel a ton better with all that!

I guess a cam couldnt hurt either. But it really depends on what you wanna do. Itd be nice to do a head swap, cam swap, new timing chain etc at the same time....

hookers.
Heads it depends. thier are multiple purposes for different heads. I dont know where you are located, the most cost efficient is a set of vortec heads but they require an external egr if you have smog etc.

Hooker 2055's work great. Open element air cleaner. Look for a used roller cam. 220@50 is a lot of duration. May be a pain to tune especially if lsa is < 112.

Removing the smog pump will clean up the engine bay but won't add any power. Vortec heads are a decent option but need a lot of supporting mods to utilize them correctly. If your car is stock you should start elimination air flow bottle-necks in order of importance.

Re: accelration upgrades for a 305 firebird vin e
It depends on what your goals are. If you want to run the stock cam, than your stock heads are fine. If you want to run a cam that makes power in the lower RPM region, than the stock heads are fine. If you want to run a cam with higher than .480" lift, then you should look into some machine work to cut the guides and replace the pressued in rocker studs for screw in units. It would be better if you could explain your goals first. We can then guide you on the right path from there

lolok i want more torque and hp for acceleration rpms wat would u advise?? idk that much for rpms (learning as i go)

Re: accelration upgrades for a 305 firebird vin e
Well....Bolt ons will go a long way for your combo. Also, a small cam swap (LT1) with tuning will give you great off idle power. This all depends on your ability to tune your chip (DIY and not mail order). Cam lift is not what you want to look at when choosing a new bump stick. LSA, overlap, and duration have 99% more impact on your power band than cam lift. I would recomend taking some time to search this board and read, read, read. The more you learn the less money you will spend and the faster your car will be.
