Open element aircleaner on 91rd
I was looking at the edelbrock aircleaner and was wondering what the elbow that comes with it is for? Is it to connect to the breather tube that comes out of the passenger side valve cover?

Probably - got a link to a particular one?
But take note - unless it's a drop-base housing (and pretty deep like 2" drop), it won't fit under stock hood.
Also, if it's 14", it may rub the plug wires on the dist cap.
And, even if it is drop base, chances are you'll still need a 2inch filter rather than a 3inch (3's generally too tall) under stock hood. So don't buy one that already has filter, waste of money until you see what fits under the hood.
And don't waste time with the filter lids - no use in them either with a stock hood since the hood will just sit on top of it and restrict it's flow anyway.
