i have a jet chip stage 1 or 2 i forget,it came from a 92 silverado tbi350.i have a 90 sierra tbi350.problem is that it idles high and the SEL is blinking.i was wondering if it was because i didnt unhook the grind wire on the battery?i took the truck for a ride with the chip it shifted fine and had awesome thorttle response just idled high it went 10 mph without my foot on the paddle.maybe a bad signal to the tps?,but then again i had the chip in when the truck had a bad dis cap.should i try it again.i picked the chip up for 20 bucks.

 

usually when the check engine light is flashing it is because the computer is not recognizing the prom, or the "chip". change back to stock prom and see if your problem goes away. sometimes they are not compatible between years.
