L03 build questions
I am in the middle of build and have some questions that I haven't found answers:
1. What is stock deck height for '91 L03 engine? 0.025"? As the pistons were coated heavily with carbon I couldn't measure it before disassembly.
2. Is the best head gasket to maintain the correct quench height Victor Reinz part #5745? Having the block decked is pretty expensive here and I would avoid it if I could.
3. I am going to port the infamous swirl port heads, as I really can't afford good set at the moment. I searched but didn't find any good pictures, how to trim the ramp area. I know that I shouldn't remove it, as it kills the flow, but have no clue how to shape it. I appreciate if someone could post some pictures of ramp area of ported swirl port heads.
