Infamous Code 32

I've been getting code 32 for awhile now, I've replaced the EGR Valve, The EGR Vacuum Solenoid, checked everywhere for vacuum leaks and found none, but I'm still getting the code 32. It doesn't seem to effect the performance (well, as much as an LO3 has) but the service engine light keeps coming on, and I still get the code 32. Another thing, this may be normal, not sure, but sometimes I can drive for an hour before the service light comes on, and then I can shut the engine off, start it right back up, and the service light will be off for awhile and then come back on later. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Completely stock, other than a open element.

did you disconnect the battery to erase the code?

Yes, I disconnected the battery, but the code still comes back. Is there something else that could cause the 32 besides the egr valve or solenoid?

Re: Infamous Code 32

well about the only other things i can think of are to remove the tbi and check all the passages underneath to make sure they are clear. also check the vacuum to the solenoid and make sure it is there.
where did you get the solenoid.
what kind of egr did you install.
before i had mine tuned out i had to go with a delco remi solenoid and an ac delco egr or the light would come on at cruise. after putting on the ac delco egr and delco remi switch it would only come on every once in a while. but i have shorties with no cat and a magnaflow catback. replace the vacuum lines or test them. also test the map sensor vacuum lines also.

and yes when it comes on if you turn the key switch off and then back on it will go away till it trips again.
