smoke

so after the cam swap and setting the timing my car burns white smoke when it warms up (smells like fuel) i can assume running rich but why when it gets warm?
did not do this prior to the cam swap
cam is 203 209 dur
250 261 lift

those lift #'s are wrong. white smoke is usually coolant. oil burning smoke has a bluish tint to it. and fuel is black smoke. so therefore you had the intake manifold off. which is a source for coolant loss. so my question are you losing coolant?

i can't say no, i have a radiator leak.
when i check the oil there is no contaminants oil is good. the smoke smells like emissions not like coolant and i have had it happen after a minute of running and after 5 minutes of running. im stumped other than map-02

normally too much fuel produces black smoke...ya might wanna take it to a shop and see what they think

i did exactly that, the timing was off and there was left over coolant in the cylinder from the cam job.
lift correction, 450 461
all is well! now i have to sell it to make room for my new project!

hey good job. Sorry I should have said something about timing but not being black smoke I didnt think to really go that way. But its obvious it could have been since you had it apart. Good luck in selling it. Is your other project a thirdgen?

no unfortunately-fortunately
it is an old plymouth satellite.
i love third gens but they are a double edge sword. you can have so many issues but when they run right they are amazing. i will get another one some day but for now im going old
