is a venom 400 a good mod?
been looking around for a performance chip to put in my car and there was one that caught my attention, which is the venom 400: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/VNM-V45-130/
anybody know of anything of these chips and is it a good mod for my car?

Hey man...Havnt seen you around....First off that chip will NOT work for your vehicle. You have a VIN E car. That is for tuned port injection vehicles. Secondly, the best way to tune is by doing it yourself. Buuuut since your car is relatively stock. If you really want to put a chip in it. Use www.TBICHIPS.com They offer a "hot chip" for relatively stock 305 TBI's. Or if you wanna wait a few months until I get my computer upgraded I'll sell you a hypertech chip that i've had FOREVER!

In my opinion, any money spent on a pre-programmed off-the-shelf chip is money wasted - you'll get nothing from it.

That's not true. I never dyno'd my car or anything but I did an off teh shelf chip and felt "more". But as i said self tuning is the best way of course.
