Need Engine ID Help
I have a 1990 Camaro RS and am going to do a rebuild, I just want to be sure what engine I have. The Numbers I found are V0907BLD. Can anyone ID this??

Those numbers are not correct - not engine ID numbers.
If your car is stock and a 8 cylinder TBI car, then it's a 305 5.0 litre LO3 TBI engine. The engine ID numbers are on the driver side, rear of the block, at the back of the driver head ... almost impossible to see with the motor in the car - but it's there. You'll most likely see the "5.0" stamped in the block as well as a 6-8 digit number (no letters).

yup its right where newbie said. between the cylinder head and where the transmission bellhousing meet up. should be able to see a big ol 5.0L stamped there

Those "V" numbers is a date code and location of the build.But not which one.
The guys have told you about casting number which is on the pad above the bellhousing.Some carb cleaner and a mirror might help you see what they are.

I found the casting number finally and I used the link to the website provided (Thanks for that.) but The number is not listed there. The number is 14093627, I'll keep looking to find this somewhere.
