How do you figure Carb size?
I switched my goals of a 383 cranking 400 hp, to a more budget friendly and realistic goal of 300 hp 355sbc. How do you figure how many CFM the carburetor should be? The camshaft plays a role into it doesn't it?

For 300 HP something in the 600/650 CFM range would be fine.

355x2=710 so IMO as long as you dont go over that you'd be fine. (i think a 650 would be plenty sufficient) its better to be a little too small then too large
