hey i have a 91 rs with a 90 burb 350 in it. the car always starts up and rives fine but today i tried to start it and absolutly nothin happened. no clicking no cranking or anythin. only thing that happened is when i try to start it like my radio and interior light and stuff turn off untill i let off the start position.

 

It sounds like a dead battery. Do a quick test with a volt meter, it should be over 12v (12.6 if its good).

 

When you turn the key to start, does the security light come on and stay on?

 

bad battery connection or bad battery it seems.

 

ok ill check the battery and then security lights but would a bad starter or starter connection be a reason for this to happen?

 

and also all my interior lights work and radio and all the stuff that comes on when key is in ignition

 

it could be a bad starter. take a hammer and smack it once on the side and see if it unsticks it. if after your battery tests come back okay.

 

i had a friend jump it and it didnt help at all. so im pretty sure my batterys good

 

did you leave the cables on there for a few minutes before you tried starting? if its really low a jump will not always start it right away.

 

no but ill try. the battery is less than 6 months old and so is the alternator so dont think its the battery
