Great MPG
Ive got a 90 camaro 305 5 speed 3.08 limited rear. Only mods are open filter with xstream top and straight pipes. I am also unsing 91 octane. The last time I checked i got 26 mpg with my dyno run still on that tank.
Just woundered if anyone else was getting this good. And no im not driving it nice to try and get fuel milage.

Re: Great MPG
Thats the 1 good thing about these motors i guess! I have 1 '92 Bird with 305, 5 speed, 3.08 gears and i get between 24 and 26 average. Mine has all new tuneup parts, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil. Also has Flowmaster cat back and open element and air pump delete.

Re: Great MPG
Thats nice to know. I like that I can have good mpg and still have some power. Ive raced a newer firebird with the lt1 6speed and he jumped by a second and I kept up with him till I had to go to 5th. (He cant drive his car at all.)

Re: Great MPG
yeah it looks that way because a stock TBI car shouldnt come close to a 6 speed lt1
Re: Great MPG
Mine is an 89 RS. Driving to work daily @ 50 MPH with some stop lights every four or five miles...get 20 mpg regularly. Pure highway driving is 25-26 mpg. only mods are no air pump, higher flow cat w/o air injection, and edelbrock foam air filter (no ram air line though).
