You guys ever hear of this intake, is called the torklink. It looks like a tall dual plane, but its actually a equal lenght single plane intake, they say it makes great low, mid range torque. I wonder how it would run w/ a tbi on it. Only comes w/ traditional intake bolt pattern.

dont they say the tbi run better with a little warmer intake on them? that high up the heat wouldnt build up as much..i dunno..

i wouldnt imagine the heat difference would be substantial. i am willing to bet it can cool a little quicker though. for every 10 degrees you drop the manifold temp is good for 1% more horsepower if i remember correcty (haynes performance techbook)Originally Posted by UnderCover89TBI

That intake is used by the circle track weekend warriors, like the smoky sy-1 is.

i know a cooler intake charge is better for power. but the info on this site suggests that too cool of an intake is not beneficial to the TBI setup, it needs the heat to help atomization or whatever.

that makes sense, good atomization = good combustion but i wonder if the difference in atomization overcomes the denser cooler air?Originally Posted by UnderCover89TBI

I am not sure. I know thier were complaints of fuel puddling up in the edelbrock performer rpm air gap I dont know if this would be similiar or not
Junior Member
well, the atomization would help prevent that. so it may very well be related
