I have a 1990 Camaro RS 305 TBI. Whenever i am driving it and push down the gas (lightly or heavily) the car stops and goes and and seems like its cutting out. Sometimes i hear small pops from up under the hood and in the rear. (I think the rear is just the drivetrain stopping the back tires) but im not sure. I dont know a whole lot about mechanics on cars. Also when ever i stop the car and leave it in drive, the engine bounces around and bogs down and it stalled once. While bogging and bouncing the battery gauge kept moving down and up and shaking. I've researched and people say it could be the fuel filter or fuel pump. I asked a guy at autozone and he said it could be the alternator. Please if anyone could help i would appreciate it a lot. Thank you.

well if your not getting proper voltage to your fuel pump you'd have problem. so alternator is a possibility I guess. (although not likely). You should check your fuel pressure. It sure seems like a fuel problem to me.
How would i go about checking the fuel pressure? Like i said im not a pro in the mechanic department. Sorry....
Also i forgot to say that when ever i start the car and go it doesnt happen, but when it warms up after i drive it for a little it starts happening.
