My 88 TA won't fire the injectors after it warms up, beforehand it was running perfectly fine. It started today after I installed my exhaust, just last week the fuel pump was replaced. I really need some help, I start my new job Monday and if I can't get it running I'm gonna be screwed

Re: Need help
I bet it is a bad ignition control module. It does control the injector's firing also

Re: Need help
The whole ignition system is new(distributor, coil, module plugs and wires) if I spray starting fluid itll start and run for a second and die. I just wiggled around the fuel pump relay connector and it started right up again

Re: Need help
sound like a fuel pump relay now or a connection issue with the pump relay.

Bobs your uncle

Re: Need help
I haven't been able to mess with it much all I know is when I was trying to get it started I was wiggling and pressing down on the injector connectors and trying to start it and nothing happened but when I pressed in the fuel pump relay wires it started right up

Re: Need help
bad connection on relay is possible. your first post said it was starting then dying when warmed up. that sounded like an ignition module. you say you changed the distributor, did u install new or reman or used? I have had problems with th emodules that come on distributors either new or reman.

That sounds like a fuel pressure problem now, and the fuel pump relay not activating could cause it.

Re: Need help
I put a brand new distributor in before. 5 minutes later the module burnt out. its not going to give you a warning saying im going out. its just going to fail. I bet it is bad.
